DG Mouthpieces

DG mouthpieces have been designed and developed by Daniele Giardina, after many years of experience as a musician.

Since his earlier days as a young trumpeter Daniele has always understood that his best results on the instrument were very much conditioned by the mouthpiece he used, much more than the trumpet itself!

Therefore he started searching for a mouthpiece that could respond consistently to his very demanding musical needs that as time passed were oriented towards developing the very high register of the trumpet in the style of Maynard Ferguson.

After many years of  research by playing with literally hundreds of mouthpieces from many different manufacturers and making custom modifications, himself, Daniele has decided it was time he developed his own line of mouthpieces finishing the endless research for the best.

The current offer of mouthpieces sees two different assets: heavy weight (HW) and light weight (LT).

At the moment within each line are offered 7 models: DG1, DG1Z, DG2, DG2Z, DG3, DG3S, DG4.

HW_DG1

DG1 model in heavy weight (HW) configuration.

16.40 3.65 extra shallow 170 DG1 is the first model designed by Daniele Giardina specifically for the work of the lead trumpeter. It has great projection in the whole register (from very low to very high and screaming notes); with perfect intonation it gives the player great stability in hitting and maintain a note in every dynamic range from piano to fortissimo.

HW_DG1Z
